1. General Provisions
1.1. This Uvio Consumer Geo-Promo Consent sets out the conditions on which the user may allow Uvio to use device location data and related events to show, select, and rank location-based promotional and advertising materials inside Uvio interfaces.
1.2. This document is a separate withdrawable consent and is used together with the Uvio Consumer Terms of Service, the Uvio Consumer Privacy Policy, and the separate Uvio consumer consent for service location use.
1.3. This Consent has been prepared with reference to the GDPR where applicable, the applicable personal data law, the applicable advertising law, and consumer protection requirements.
1.4. Providing this Consent is not a mandatory condition for registering with Uvio or using its core features. The user may refuse this Consent or withdraw it at any time and still keep access to Uvio functions that do not depend on geo-promotional scenarios.

3. Which Scenarios Are Covered by This Consent
3.1. Where this Consent is in effect, Uvio may use the user's location data to show promotional and advertising materials inside the service interface where the content, selection, or timing of display depends on the user's presence in a specific geofence, near a particular place, or on another location-based condition.
3.2. Such materials may include information about discounts, promotions, special offers, coupons, bonuses, promo codes, new products, events, openings, company offers, and other materials intended to promote goods, works, services, events, or brands where those materials are shown with location awareness.
3.3. This Consent applies to the display, selection, ranking, and frequency limits for such materials inside feeds, cards, promo blocks, internal sections of Uvio, and other internal surfaces that the user opens directly.
3.4. This Consent does not by itself mean that the user agrees to receive advertising push notifications, SMS, email, phone calls, or other direct advertising messages over electronic communications networks.
4. Conditions for Geo-Based Promotional Scenarios
4.1. The following must all be in place for geo-based promotional scenarios to work:
- this Consent must be active;
- the separate Uvio consent for service location use must be active;
- the required location permissions must be granted at the device and operating system level where those permissions are needed.
4.2. If any of those conditions is missing, Uvio does not use the user's location for geo-based promotional scenarios.
4.3. If the user withdraws the service-location consent or revokes device-level location permission, Uvio also stops using location data for geo-based promotional scenarios, even if this Consent has not been separately withdrawn.
4.4. The absence of this Consent does not prevent service location features that the user has enabled separately at the user's request from working.
5. What Data May Be Used
5.1. Where this Consent is in effect, Uvio may use the following data for geo-based promotional scenarios:
- current or periodically updated device coordinates to the extent allowed by the device, operating system, and the user's settings;
- approximate or precise location data;
- geofence data and information about the device's entry into, exit from, or relation to a geofence;
- the date and time of the location event;
- subscription data, interaction data, views, saves, bookmarks, and other actions inside Uvio where such information is used to make promotional content more relevant;
- interface language, time zone, app version, device type, and other technical parameters needed to display materials correctly and limit display frequency.
5.2. Uvio does not seek to use this Consent as a basis for continuous route tracking. Location data is used to check geo-based display conditions and to support the selection logic for the relevant materials within the service.
6. What Location Is Used For in Geo-Based Promotional Scenarios
6.1. Where this Consent is in effect, Uvio may use location data for the following purposes:
- deciding whether the user meets the conditions for a geo-based promotional or advertising material;
- showing, selecting, ranking, and updating geo-based promotional and advertising materials inside Uvio interfaces;
- limiting repeat display, display frequency, and other display parameters for such materials;
- ensuring the technical operation of geo-based promotional scenarios and related Uvio settings.
6.2. If a particular material qualifies as advertising under applicable law, Uvio may treat it as advertising and apply the relevant labeling, disclosure, and other legal requirements.
7. How the User Gives Consent
7.1. The user gives this Consent by taking a separate action that clearly confirms the user's intention, for example by enabling a dedicated setting in the Uvio interface, confirming the relevant prompt, or using another interface method provided for that purpose.
7.2. Silence, inaction, a pre-checked box, an automatically enabled switch, or a similar model of behavior do not count as providing this Consent.
7.3. Uvio may record the fact that this Consent was given, the date and time it was given, the document version, device information, app information, the network address, and other technical data needed to prove the user's choice and comply with applicable law.
8. Withdrawal and Consequences
8.1. The user may withdraw this Consent at any time by turning off the relevant setting in Uvio, sending a request to privacy@uvio.chat, or using another method made available in the service.
8.2. After Uvio records the withdrawal, it stops using the user's location for new geo-based promotional scenarios without undue delay.
8.3. If a promotional material has already been loaded in the user's interface or prepared for display before the withdrawal is recorded, its display in an already open user session may, in exceptional cases, remain visible until the interface is refreshed or that session ends.
8.4. Withdrawing this Consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal and does not change the effect of other mandatory Uvio documents.
9. Retention and Relationship to the Privacy Policy
9.1. Location data and related technical events used in geo-based promotional scenarios are retained no longer than needed to achieve the purposes stated in this Consent and in the Uvio Consumer Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law or for the protection of Uvio's rights.
9.2. Records of the giving and withdrawal of this Consent, as well as related logs used to prove the user's choice, may be retained separately for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance with applicable law and to protect Uvio's rights.
9.3. Full information about the categories of data processed, legal bases, user rights, safeguards, and general retention periods is set out in the Uvio Consumer Privacy Policy.
10. User Rights, Changes, and Final Provisions
10.1. The user may request information about the personal data processed under this Consent, request correction, blocking, or deletion of inaccurate, outdated, unlawfully obtained, or no longer needed data, and exercise other rights granted by applicable law.
10.2. Uvio may update this document when required by changes in applicable law, the geo-based promotional model, the available interfaces, the technical data used, or the consent flow.
10.3. The current version of this document is published in Uvio's legal documents section together with its version date. Where appropriate, users may also be informed through the app, website, or another Uvio interface.
10.4. This Consent is governed by applicable law.
