Summary. This is the consent for using geolocation data about your device location for Uvio service features.
Key points:
- We do not track your route. Location is used only for geofence-based service functions, for example to send a reminder when you are near a relevant place.
- Without this consent, Uvio still works normally, but geolocation features are unavailable.
- You can withdraw this consent at any time in Uvio settings or in your device settings.
- This consent does not include geo-promotional scenarios. Those require a separate consent.
This short summary is for convenience only. The full text below is legally controlling.
1. General Provisions
1.1. This Uvio Consumer Location Consent sets out the conditions on which the user may allow Uvio to use device location data and related events for Uvio's geolocation service functions.
1.2. This document is a separate withdrawable consent and is used together with the Uvio Consumer Terms of Service, the Uvio Consumer Privacy Policy, and, where applicable, a separate consent for geo-promotional scenarios.
1.3. This Consent has been prepared with reference to the GDPR where applicable, the applicable personal data law, consumer protection requirements, and related legal requirements.
1.4. Providing this Consent is not a mandatory condition for using Uvio's core features that do not depend on location. Certain geolocation features are available only in some interfaces and cannot work without this Consent and the relevant device permissions where those features are supported.
2. Operator Information and Contacts
The personal data controller and the person providing services under the name "Uvio" is an individual entrepreneur Sultanbekov Artur Timerhanovich.

3. What Data May Be Used
3.1. Where this Consent is in effect, Uvio may receive and process the following location-related data:
- current or periodically updated device coordinates to the extent allowed by the operating system, device settings, and the user's choice;
- approximate or precise location data where the device or operating system provides such a format;
- geofence data related to Uvio features and information about the device's relation to such geofences;
- geofence entry events, geofence exit events, and other related technical events;
- the date and time of the location event;
- technical data needed for the feature to work, including device identifiers, app version, operating system version, and permission status on the device.
3.2. Under this Consent, Uvio does not seek to continuously monitor the user's route. Location data is used mainly to support geofence-based scenarios and to update and verify the relevant location conditions.
4. What Location Is Used For
4.1. Where this Consent is in effect, Uvio may use location data for the following service scenarios:
- geolocation reminders and other Uvio features triggered when the user's device enters or leaves a specific geofence;
- selection, update, and activation of geofences needed for the correct operation of location features;
- user scenarios linked to location conditions, where such features are available in Uvio interfaces;
- ensuring the correct operation of device and app settings related to geolocation features.
4.2. This Consent is provided for Uvio's service location features and does not by itself cover the use of location data for geo-promotional or geo-advertising scenarios.
4.3. If Uvio uses geo-promotional or geo-advertising materials inside the service interface, those scenarios require a separate, active consent from the user for that use of location data.
5. How the User Gives Consent
5.1. The user gives this Consent by taking a separate action that clearly confirms the user's intention, for example by enabling a dedicated setting in the Uvio interface, selecting a location-based scenario and confirming it, or using another interface method provided for that purpose.
5.2. Silence, inaction, a pre-checked box, an automatically enabled switch, or a similar model of behavior do not count as providing this Consent.
5.3. Uvio may record the fact that this Consent was given, the date and time it was given, the document version, device information, app information, the network address, and other technical data needed to prove the user's choice and comply with applicable law.
6. Device Permissions and Technical Conditions
6.1. This Consent alone is not enough for geolocation features to work. The user must also grant the required geolocation permissions at the device and operating system level.
6.2. The available feature scope depends on which permissions are granted on the device, including location access only while using the app, always-on access, or other available modes where supported by the operating system.
6.3. On some mobile platforms, the user may choose a location-based scenario or enable the related setting with only limited location access, but background geofence monitoring, persistent geofence control, and some notifications may work with limitations, less reliably, or not at all.
6.4. If the operating system, device, sensors, network conditions, or battery-saving settings restrict background geolocation or reduce accuracy, some Uvio functions may work only partially, with delay, or not at all.
6.5. If the user withdraws location permission at the device level, Uvio may automatically stop local location-based scenarios and synchronize the changed status with the server side of the service so that no outdated consent status remains active.
7. Withdrawal and Consequences
7.1. The user may withdraw this Consent at any time by turning off the relevant setting in Uvio, revoking geolocation permission on the device, sending a request to privacy@uvio.chat, or using another method made available in the service.
7.2. After Uvio records the withdrawal, new location-based scenarios that require this Consent will not start without undue delay.
7.3. After this Consent is withdrawn, geolocation notifications and other Uvio functions that depend on geofences stop, and active location-based sessions and related processing may be ended.
7.4. To fully stop the app's access to location data, the user should both disable the relevant setting in Uvio and revoke device-level geolocation permission if the user no longer wants to share such data with the app.
7.5. Withdrawing this Consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal and does not change the effect of other mandatory Uvio documents.
7.6. Withdrawing or refusing this Consent does not remove access to Uvio core features that do not depend on location, but it does make location-dependent features unavailable or limited.
7.7. If a particular Uvio interface does not support geolocation features, this Consent does not apply in that interface until the user moves to an interface where such features are available.
8. Retention and Relationship to the Privacy Policy
8.1. Location data and related technical events are retained no longer than needed to achieve the purposes stated in this Consent and in the Uvio Consumer Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law or for the protection of Uvio's rights.
8.2. Records of the giving and withdrawal of this Consent, as well as related logs used to prove the user's choice, may be retained separately for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance with applicable law and to protect Uvio's rights.
8.3. Full information about the categories of data processed, legal bases, user rights, safeguards, and general retention periods is set out in the Uvio Consumer Privacy Policy.
9. User Rights
9.1. The user may request information about the personal data processed under this Consent, request correction, blocking, or deletion of inaccurate, outdated, unlawfully obtained, or no longer needed data, and exercise other rights granted by applicable law.
9.2. The user may withdraw this Consent at any time or effectively stop providing location data by disabling device permissions and Uvio location settings.
9.3. To exercise these rights, the user may send a request to privacy@uvio.chat. Uvio may request information needed to verify the requester's identity and authority.
9.4. The user may also contact the relevant supervisory authority or a court where permitted by applicable law.
10. Changes and Final Provisions
10.1. Uvio may update this document when required by changes in applicable law, the service's geolocation features, the way geofences are used, the technical data included in the feature, the available interfaces, or the consent flow.
10.2. The current version of this document is published in Uvio's legal documents section together with its version date. Where appropriate, users may also be informed through the app, website, or another Uvio interface.
10.3. This Consent is governed by applicable law.
